Who we are

LitBud (thelitbud.com) is a free English Literature exam practice platform for students preparing for UGC NET, SET/SLET, CUET PG and related exams.

What data we collect

• Account information: your email address when you sign up via email/password or Google OAuth.
• Quiz data: your attempt history including scores, answers selected and time taken.
• Technical data: cookies and session tokens managed by Supabase for authentication.

How we use your data

• To provide quiz functionality and let you track your improvement over time.
• To display leaderboard rankings. Email addresses are partially masked (e.g. j***n@gmail.com).
• We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties.

Data storage

All data is stored securely via Supabase, which is hosted on AWS infrastructure. Authentication tokens are stored in browser cookies. Quiz state is stored in browser localStorage.

Google Sign-In

If you authenticate via Google, we receive your email address and name from Google's OAuth service. We use this only for account creation and identification. We do not access your Google Drive, contacts or any other Google data.

Data deletion

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at thelitbud@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
